Anália Torres, Full Professor at ISCSP-ULisboa and CIEG's Director, was appointed member of the National Ethic's Council for Life Sciences (Conselho Nactional de Ética para as Ciências da Vida - CNECV), at the Ministry Council on August 4th.
The National Ethic's Council for Life Sciences is an independent consultant body working closely with the Portuguese Republic's Assembly, who gather five personalities with scientific merit on the fields of biology, medicine, health and also in law, sociology and philosophy. CNECV main purpose is to analyse ethical problems raised by scientific progress in the biology, medicine, health and life sciences.
