The second edition of the inter-university PhD programme on Gender Studies began in the academic year 2019/2020, resulting from a consortium between Institute of Political ans Social Sciences (ISCSP-ULisboa), NOVA School of Law and NOVA Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This doctoral programme's mission is to contribute to the affirmation of Gender Studies as an autonomous scientific field of research and advanced education. Moreover, it prepares and trains researchers, other professionals, senior officials and other managers on analysing critically and reflectively themes related to gender, and then intervene in various sectors and social and political activities.
In order to mark the beginning of the second edition of the doctoral programme, the Opening Conference of the Phd on Gender Studies 2019/2020 was held on the 4th of Novembre at ISCSP-ULisboa. Professor Lígia Amâncio (Professora Catedrática at ISCTE-IUL and Coordinator of the european project SAGE - Systemic Action for Gender Equality) was a speaker at this conference.
