On the 24th of October 2019, the seminar Public policy, atittudes and values. Perspectives and analysis stemmed from the ESS 8 data (Políticas públicas, atitudes e valores. Perspetivas e análises a partir dos dados do ESS 8) was held at ISCSP-ULisboa.
The European Social Survey (ESS) is an internatinal survey which collects transnational comparative information on attitudes and behaviours. This is particularly suitable for Poltical and Social Sciences and Portugal is a part of this survey since the beginning of it in 2022.
This session had the goal to enlighten the attendees on the multiple applications of the database. This database is one of the most useful for comparative European analyses and has free access. All of this allows richer analyses and researches, which will increase its potencial as a publicated research/work.
