It is a science and technology network funded over a four-year period and developing networking tools to meet the research coordination and capacity building objetives set out in the COST Action's Memorandum of Understanding. Its Grant Holder is Université de Picardie Jules Verne, and CIEG's integrated researcher is a member of this network. WEMov is an international network of researchers from 52 countries, who are engaged in unveiling women migrants' presence and participation in the construction of Europe. As an interdisciplinary network, it combines a wide variety of expertise in history, sociology, demography, economy, anthropology, political science and the arts, among others, with the intention of fostering complementay perspectives showing women migrants' presence, obstacles and capacities in past and present migratory contexts.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts for CIEG's III International Congress, Gender, Feminist and Women's Studies: Knowledge, Public Policies and Social Justice has been extended until October 15th 2023.

Anália Torres, Full Professor at ISCSP-ULisboa and CIEG's Director, was appointed member of the National Ethic's Council for Life Sciences (Conselho Nactional de Ética para as Ciências da Vida - CNECV), at the Ministry Council on August 4th.
The National Ethic's Council for Life Sciences is an independent consultant body working closely with the Portuguese Republic's Assembly, who gather five personalities with scientific merit on the fields of biology, medicine, health and also in law, sociology and philosophy. CNECV main purpose is to analyse ethical problems raised by scientific progress in the biology, medicine, health and life sciences.
